Roslin Tech Selected to Pitch at Good Food Conference 2021

Roslin Tech is delighted that we were one of 12 companies pitching at the Good Food Conference 2021. We were selected from over 100 applicant companies covering all facets of the alternative protein industry.

We were selected due to our unique technology, which has the potential to drive game-changing growth in the cultivated meat sector.

Cultivated meat depends on cells, which impact all stages of the production process. The ideal cells can self-renew forever, grow quickly and efficiently, and lay the foundation for a great consumer experience. At the Good Food Conference, we presented the abilities of induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells to a global audience, from cultivated meat producers to alternative protein investors.

As one of the only commercial cell line providers in the world, our iPS cells are vital in driving the industry forwards. iPS cells are a novel technology for the cultivated meat market and by offering our cell lines to consumer-focused companies, producers get access to better cell lines and can bring cultivated meat products to market faster.

“It has been a huge privilege to pitch at the Good Food Conference. It is exciting to highlight the importance of cells for cultivated meat and our role as a cell line provider to the growing industry. We want to make producers and the wider industry successful, to contribute to a more sustainable food system.” said Ernst van Orsouw, CEO of Roslin Tech.

Roslin Tech are also listed in the Good Food Institute’s ‘Alternative Protein Ingredient & Equipment’ database, as part of the landscape of alternative protein consumer brands, manufacturers, and ingredient suppliers. Find out more here.
